The Main Draw

I am in Singapore right now. Arrived Monday this week for our first FIVB event. It has all been pretty overwhelming, but Heidi and I feel very confident in our play right now. So, since this is our first event ever on this tour, we took the 35 seed out of 38 teams in the qualifier. Therefore, we play the 28 seed first (which we beat in 2games) then we matched up against China (3 seed) and beat in 2 games. lastly, we faced Australia. Lost the first game against them, then game back to win the next 2. So, we qualified in our first FIVB event into the main draw..... Our goal was to win a match, so qualifying was a huge victory. Once in the main draw, we faced the #1 team in the world (Brazil)-lost. Then we faced Australia again (different team)-lost. Played well, but lost our endurance from the heat and the 8 previous games we played:) off to Korea next week to do the same thing. Anyone wanting to follow our travels can go on FIVB.org and click on the beach volleyball page...just follow from there. Feel free to drop an email if you like...it is great to remain connected to home. We wont be back until August. Love to all!!!!!!
